Today I shopped and shopped for cars.
Today Peter took the children to a birthday party while I stayed home nursing my migraine which didn't go away until long past midnight and so I lost the entire day!
Today grandpa brought Owen home. I had a migraine in the evening and went to bed early.
Today we drove all day to look at a car we're thinking of buying.
Today we drove back home. When home, I folded a sketchbook in record time! 26mins! This previously took me more than an hour. So my new methods worked brilliantly. Feeling smug and clever.
Today Owen and Harriet were bored and asking for grandpa. I woke up late as Harriet woke me up in the night.
Today Grandparents went away to babysit for Peter's sister in London, and we took the children to tea and scones.
Today we went to the Science Museum in London, and the Natural History Museum too. Harriet didn't nap!
Today we drove to Grandparents' house, and the children behaved marvellously on the journey, and Owen didn't even ask for the iPad or snacks.
Today Owen went to Albie's birthday party and had a great time. Harriet cried and cried and wouldn't nap.
Today I thought very hard about my sketchbook making process and think I can radically improve my efficiency. I love this challenge, it's like a game.
Today I studied a bit of React for the workshop at work tomorrow. Excited!
Today Peter went to shop for a new car, and gave me a lift to work.
Today I went to get a flu jab and took Harriet to the library.
Today I made a sketchbook, still too slow. There was a heavy feeling in the air as we were feeling sad (and perhaps guilt to the children) about Peter getting a full time job, though we were also very excited about his new job. Rather scary to change, though we both agree it will be a good experience for him. Probably like how even when you dread a run, you usually feel great afterwards.
Today Owen still didn't want to go out, and the weather looked terrible, so we stayed home all day again. I made another sketchbook.
Today I woke up early to play with the children and they were very happy mostly even though we stayed home all day. In the evening, I dabbled in printing on fabric.
Today I had a whole day of meetings and workshop.
Today Peter had an exciting job interview in Oxford. Sad that we will have to change our current comfortable lifestyle (where he works as a relaxing freelancer & stay-at-home dad), but excited about the new prospects for him too. I had a great time showing off my handmade sketchbooks at work.
Today was a beautifully warm day, and we had a group yoga session outdoor during lunchtime at work. We also had a cake sale to raise funds (and happiness) for world mental health day. What a nice day.
