Today I watched Gordon Brown say goodbye and sympathised with him though I'm not a Labour fan.
Today I reinstalled Sims 3 on my computer so I could build a Tiny House prototype.
Today I went to watch the Abingdon Dragonboat Race.
Today I finally washed the sheets after what felt like a year. Didn't find rice under the pillows this time.
Today I was gutted to find that my favourite MP, Dr. Evan Harris had lost his seat to the Tories. It was supposed to be a safe seat! However, we now have a hung parliament. Yay.
Today I voted in the UK General Election.
Today I watched some TED Talks, and got inspired by cellular automaton, mathematics, and 'mass custom creativity'.
Today Peter showed me how to play Magic: The Gathering.
Today I read and loved the tattered pages of Peeps at Many Lands: Japan (published 1907), which Peter bought me from a church fair in Hayle.
Today I got really anxious when I realised that I didn't qualify for UK citizenship yet (unless I got married, which I didn't want to), but Peter found some small print which said I could apply for ILTR next year. Phew.
Today we visited the Eden Project on our way back from Cornwall, it was amazing.
Today we walked to the lighthouse and found some lazy seals at a cove.
Today it rained and rained, and I spent too much time on the internet though I was supposed to 'get away'.
Today we had a lazy day in, reading, napping, drawing, and enjoying the sea view.
Today we napped on a beach at St Ives, and I ate Cornish pasty, crab, squid, and ice-cream.
Today we watched a spectacular sunset from our seaview deck, and then sang in the starlight till it got creepy.
Today we drove for 30 mins to Truro so I could shop in M&S.
Today I brought nearly half of all my possessions to the holiday cottage in Hayle, Cornwall. That should last me weeks.
Today I took and passed the Life in the UK test!
